c1960 - Very Rare 1.25 oz bottle of Pacquins Anti-Detergent Hand Cream in white milk glass Hazel Atlas jar. Jar has white metal lid with gold lettering.
The front label is blue and gold with the copy "Pacquins Anti-Detergent Hand Cream, Net Wt. 1.25 oz., Made by Pacquin, Inc, New York, NY" - the label is peeling from the glass slightly on the top right side.
The rear label is yellowing from age and peeling slightly on the top left side. The copy on the rear label reads, "Pacquins Anti-Detergent Hand Cream // A special formula cream that goes into dry, red, rough skin - to counteract the harsh effects of detergents on the hands - softens and soothes instantly. Apply liberally before and after using detergents, harsh soaps, other housecleaning products."
The milk glass bottle is in immaculate condition and is stamped on the bottom with the Hazel Atlas Glass Company trademark.
The metal lid is in Very Good shape - the metal on the bottom ring has one spot of oxidation. See photos.
The jar is full of unused product.
The jar measures 2" wide at widest point and 2.25" tall with lid.
Indiana University hosts an archived commercial for this product with claims that it protects hands from damage while using detergents.
